Article: EFT and the Law of Attraction
Have you ever had one of those days when everything seems to go wrong? When you grit your teeth and tense up, waiting for the next disaster which you are sure is just around the corner? You know it is lurking there just waiting to get you because you’ve felt like this before and something bad always happens to confirm your fears. You’ve had days like this? That’s the law of attraction. The law of attraction states that what we believe to be true for us actually does come true for us.1 We put so many limiting beliefs and thoughts in our way that we become paralyzed by fear and apathy when we feel like this that we just don’t take action to make our dreams come true. So of course they don’t come true. The emotional freedom technique can really help you get over this stumbling block. With the emotional freedom technique, you can become highly aware or your thoughts – both positive and negative – and you can really harness them to maximize the good things in your life with the law of attraction. With EFT, you just don’t wallow in the negative thoughts. You find a positive way to counter each negative thought and you repeat this to yourself. What makes emotional freedom therapy even more effective to create a positive law of attraction is that that the tapping unblocks the energy channels of your body and mind. That gives you even more energy that you maybe didn’t even know that you had to plough into positive thoughts and actions which will actually help you achieve what you want to achieve. By realizing where your thoughts are perhaps unintentionally hampering or diverting what you really want from your life, you can take control of these thoughts and direct them positively. All you need to do is create an affirming statement which addresses the way in which you are yourself getting in the way of your dreams. This might be something like “I will believe in myself. I do have the ability to gain promotion at work.” Then you need to keep affirming this statement to yourself in a tone of voice which says you believe it, whilst carrying out your EFT tapping technique. The release of energy which the tapping gives amplifies greatly the power of the positive affirmations which you are making to yourself and you will find yourself feeling more free and able to get over the hurdles which have been hampering your progress. The more you focus on positive emotions and overcoming difficulties, the more positive energy which you are able to pull into your life. 2 The emotional freedom technique is great at rooting out all those underlying negative beliefs which damage us and neutralizing them with positive affirmations of how we can overcome these problems. That way, you can achieve more good things in your life. That is how the law of attraction works and it is how you can harness the power of the emotional freedom technique to bring more good things your way. EFT can change the whole way you approach life. If you approach it positively, seeing good things and opportunities for growth, happiness and accomplishment, then the law of attraction will ensure that more of these good things come your way. 1 www.creatavision.com 2 www.creatavision.com Article: Getting fit and losing weight Okay. Maybe you aren’t the athletic type. Maybe you didn’t play on your high school sports teams or take gymnastics until you were fifteen. Or maybe you did. But now you are an adult with a crazy schedule, busy life and no time for fitness. No wonder you are overweight. At this point, the most exercise you get is climbing in and out of your car before work. But you want to lose weight and get healthier, so something is going to have to give. You already know you have a lot of weight loss options when it comes to diets to follow and exercise routines to pick up. So, choose one of each and get going. Real weight loss plans include a sensible diet and exercise to keep your body functioning well and feeling great. True weight loss success is long lasting, which means you need to change your entire lifestyle to make this work. When deciding on a fitness routine, consider adding running for weight loss into your plan. Even if you run a couple times a week, you will start to see the results quickly. Understandably, you may not be able to run very far when you first get started, but that is ok. The intervals between walking and running will grow and you will feel your heart getting stronger. Once you get to a point where you can run for several minutes at a time, try adding sprint intervals into your jogs. After warming up, run five minutes at a normal rate, then speed up to a sprint for one minute. Take one minute to walk and recover before doing the interval again. These short bursts will jump start your metabolism and boost fat burn in a big way. Make one run a week your “long distance” run. Don’t be intimidated. This doesn’t mean you have to run a half marathon. If you usually run three miles, make one day an attempt at a five mile course. Building up endurance is something that will really pay off for you in the future. Also, the changing up of your workout routine will keep your body working harder at burning fat. If you add running like this to a weight loss regimen of sensible eating and other moderate exercise, you will surely see terrific results. Not only will you feel great, but you will look great too! Article: Asian diets versus American diets
In America and many Western countries food has become entertainment. We look forward to a night out at our favorite restaurant where we will eat and drink much more than we need to sustain our bodies. (Wait – is that what food is supposed to be for?) We eat to celebrate with friends, and sometimes we eat just to have something to do. For these reasons, Westerners are not the healthiest people in the world. When compared to nations with different diets and lifestyles, we do not stack up when it comes to fitness and dietary health. The American diet generally consists of large amounts of bread and carbohydrates, high fat, high sugar and small amounts of healthy vegetables. Realistically, how many Americans do you know that prefer fresh vegetables to greasy french fries or steamed fish to a greasy cheeseburger? These foods may be delicious but they are not ideal as everyday meals. In contrast to the American diet is the typical Asian diet. Japanese and Chinese traditional foods are very different from the normal Western meal. Of course, availability of food, climate, and tradition are the reason that their diet is the way it is, but we may be able to pick up some good diet tips from these people. Natural weight loss is about more than just “dieting.” A lifestyle change may be required. In most Asian diets there is a minimal amount of fat. The fat that is consumed is from cooking with vegetable oil. They typically eat lots of vegetables and fruits on a daily basis. Protein is mostly consumed in the form of nuts, seeds and legumes. The meat that is eaten is low fat like steamed fish rather than the high fat red meat that Americans usually consume. Within the Asian diet, dairy products are kept to a minimum as well. They get more vitamin D from green vegetables than from milk. This diet leads to considerably lower risks of heart disease, high cholesterol and diabetes which are huge problems associated with Western diets. So, even if you do not need to lose weight, you may want to consider some of these lifestyle changes for your health. It certainly would be great to see rates of these preventable illnesses decline. Observing the eating habits of other cultures can be a way to teach ourselves some valuable lessons. Life is not all about food. Just ask the people that eat only when hungry and choose foods that actually provide their bodies with the nutrients that it needs to perform properly. Article: This is more than a diet!
So why should the weight management program I bring to you be any better than all those popular fad diets that proliferate our lives? You know them just as well as I do - we’ve all shaken the shakes, popped the pills, read the write-ups and counted the calories only to find the moment we stop the weight piles back on. So why is this? Simply put, fad diets don’t work. All they do is deal with the ‘effects’ of being overweight. The program I offer you over the next five weeks will deal with the causes as well as the effects of your weight problem. Once the causes have been identified and diminished then reaching and maintaining your target weight will no longer be the massive challenge of the past. The program that I will outline will allow you to eat all the foods that your body tells you are “good” for you.
This is not a “diet.” This is a lifestyle.
At the outset I would like you to know and understand that my weight management program supports the principle that gradual weight loss over a longer period of time has greater benefits than short term dieting. As we start this program together, it will not be long before you are happy in your mind and body. Over the next five weeks you will learn and participate in ALL of the following complimentary therapies. You may or may not have heard of any of these and if you haven’t don’t worry; they are all therapies that are in popular use today. This course throughout will demonstrate to you many money-saving principles and this includes each and every one of these therapies that I will teach you to use. A single visit to any therapist practising what you are reading below would cost you more than this whole course: * Visualizations * Thought Field Therapy (TFT) * Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) * Kinesiology * Law of Attraction * Spiritual Healing * Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) * Self Hypnosis (optional MP3files) * Affirmations * Active Writing Copyright; Colin Winston Aldridge, http://www.bodyandsoulweightloss.net/
Article: The Body and Soul Weight Loss Program
I can easily understand all those people who have been ‘labelled’ obese. I was labelled in the same way once. Being overweight can be a dual nightmare. On one side you are expected to fit the stereo type of being fat and jolly, even though you are probably crying inside. The reverse is that you are viewed as a ‘pig’, someone who eats like a glutton with your nose constantly in the feeding trough. Harsh words aren’t they when you see them written down in front of you but words and views that are in common use just the same. You and I know that this stereotyping just isn’t fair. In my own experience and I am sure in yours, we have become over weight because emotionally we are unhappy and when we are unhappy many of us use food as a tranquilizer – we comfort eat. We do try and rationalize to ourselves about being overweight with such self chatter as; “my Mom was large” or “being this big runs in the family” or “I have a slow metabolism”. On and on we go with our excuses and our pursuance of the next fad diet that may well have short term results on the outside but still leave us feeling unhappy and a failure on the inside. Article: Welcome to my weight management program
The Body and Soul Weight Loss Program is more than just a diet. It’s not just about the food; it’s all about your happiness and emotional well being - and then the food. My program does not have: diet sheets, exercise routines, calorie counting, bold or brash statements that lead to disappointment when they are not met, unrealistic targets, finger wagging. Furthermore it does not patronize you or talk down to you. This weight maintenance program was developed by me and on me so I truly do know it works. My own weight correction on this weight maintenance program has resulted in my losing more than 100 pounds as at the time of writing up this program for others to use. My own weight loss has come from using ALL the techniques I am about to reveal to you. I have missed out nothing. Anything I did you can do too. When I reached 300 pounds body weight I knew that either I took control of my life and started immediately to lose weight or my weight would spiral further out of my control. I was 58 years old when I began my own ‘rescue’ from obesity. I stand 6’ 2” in bare feet and this appeared to disguise my 54” inch chest and corresponding vital statistics. What I could not hide was my poor and down trodden health. I bought a few XXXXL tops and this made me ask of myself what had happened to the 42” regular I used to be? Time for action! Once I knew my ‘formula’ to control weight worked I wrote this five part course. Now for the first time this secret weight loss method is available to all and I invite you to participate fully in this course and take what you learn over the five weeks and make it a lifestyle.
